Chinese New Year Replacement Holiday

Chinese New Year Replacement Holiday

“Chinese New Year” in Malaysia, also known as Lunar New Year or Spring Festival, is a major celebration marking the first day of the Chinese Lunar Calendar. It involves family reunions, feasts, giving red packets (angpau) containing money, and various activities like decorating with duilian (scrolls with poetry written), dragon or lion dances, and playing cards. The concept of open house is practiced where homes are open for friends and family to visit, regardless of race and religion.
