Basic eligibility of players
* Age between 11 to 20 years old in 2023
* Must be a Malaysian
* Must fit any one of the following conditions:
a) born in Negeri Sembilan,
b) currently studying in Negeri Sembilan,
c) currently residing or working in Negeri Sembilan for more than 1 year since Nov 2022.
Only players who fulfill one of the 2 following criteria, can play in this selection tournament (Peringkat 1).

Fide rating as at 1 November 2023 (Standard, Rapid or Blitz):
* Boys: a rating of 1400 or higher
* Girls: a rating of 1100 or higher
